Ans: The Chief Minister is the head of the state. He appoints ministers at various levels and each one is directly accountable for the function of that department. They give approval of the work done in their department.

The Chief Minister is the leader of the ruling party. The party that has gained majority elects  him . He is the executive head and is responsible for its action. He co-ordinates between the state and the central government.
