MEANINGS / DEFINATIONS:
- Factor :- A factor of a number is an exact divisor of that number
- Multiple :- The product obtained on multiplication of two numbers.
- Perfect number :- A number for which sum of all its factors is equal to twice the number is called a Perfect number.
- Prime number :- The number whose only factors are 1 and the number itself are called Prime number.
- Composite number :- Numbers having more than two factors are called Composite numbers.
- Even number :- Numbers with 0 , 2 , 4 , 6 , 8 at the unit’s place are Even numbers.
- Odd number :-The numbers with 1 , 3 , 5 , 7 , 9 at the unit’s place are Odd numbers.
- Co-prime number :- Two numbers having only 1 as a common factor are called Co-prime numbers.
- Prime factorisation :- When a number is expressed as a product of its prime factors it is called Prime factorisation.
- Highest common factor (HCF) :- The highest common factor of two or more given numbers is the highest of their common factors.
- Lowest common multiple (LCM):- The lowest common multiple of two or more given numbers is the lowest of their common multiples.
