1. Globe : a spherical representation of the earth .
2. Constellation : a group of similar people or things.
3. Longitude : the angular distance of a place east or west of the Greenwich meridian, or west of the standard meridian of a celestial object .
4. Poles : either of the two locations ( North Pole or South Pole ) on the surface of the earth .
5. Hemisphere : a half of the earth, usually as divided into northern and southern halves by the equator .
6. Equator : a corresponding line on a planet .
7. Parallel : side by side and having the same distance continuously between them .
8. Latitude : the angular distance of a place north or south of the earth’s equator .
9. Tropic of cancer : the parallel of latitude north tropic of Cancer or south tropic of Capricorn of the equator.
10. Prime meridian : a planet’s meridian adopted as the zero of longitude .
